Classes are held Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. for ages 3 through 6th grade.

“Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” – II Timothy 2:15

The AWANA Clubs at the Rockwood Alliance Church serve children 3 years of age through the 6th grade. AWANA Clubs are Christian and Bible-centered and do not exclude children based on their religious background — club meetings are open to all.

The goal of AWANA is to guide clubbers towards:

  • establishing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • increasing their Bible knowledge
  • instilling in them a love and respect for God, His Word, and others

Each week the children will be participating in a Game Time (lots of fun and laughter for all!), Handbook Time – where the children memorize and recite scripture, and Lesson Time – where the children will hear a Bible story and sing some worship songs.

Special Nights

As an additional fun time during Awana, some weeks are assigned a Theme like “wear a silly hat” or “bring a fall flower.”

Age Groups

  • Cubbies: Ages 3-5
  • Sparks: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
  • Truth in Training: 3rd & 4th Grade
  • Truth in Training: 5th & 6th Grade

The AWANA Clubbers meet each Wednesday (September through April) from 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.  Registration form online or at the church.

Closings and Cancellations

If Rockwood Area School dismisses early or is closed on a Wednesday due to snow/weather, then all Wednesday Night activities will be cancelled.  Cancellations will also be posted on Facebook & Twitter.

WelcomeWelcome to the Rockwood Alliance Church website.  It is our desire that you will keep informed and involved in the church by using this website.  The Lord has blessed our church greatly and has given us the opportunity to reach out to the Rockwood area with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the book of Acts (ch. 2), it is recorded that the church

“…continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayer. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people.”

May we, in one accord, gather together as God’s people to worship the Lord, be taught by the Word of God, and reach our community with Jesus.  God Bless you all in this wonderful journey.

Alliance Men

Men need other men to build relationships and to encourage one another’s spiritual growth. Alliance Men meet on a regular basis to study God’s Word and to share insights from a male perspective. God continues to use this ministry to stimulate spiritual leadership that is needed in both the home and church.
